How do I get a library card?

For regular library cards, you can sign up at the library. We also offer digital access only cards that you can apply for from home. Click here to learn more about getting a library card.

Who can get a library card?

Anyone age 5 or older can get a library card. You don’t need to live in Manchester. Please note that if you are not an Iowa resident, it will cost $20 to get a card. Cards are free for anyone who lives in Iowa. The vast majority of library services are available to all cardholders (in order to use Adventure Pass or Bridges/Libby, you must live in Manchester or rural Delaware County).

How much do you charge for fines?

Nothing! We are now fine free. We only charge you if you lose or damage an item. Click here to read about our Fine Free Initiative.

How do I renew an item?
