Some of the projects the Friends have contributed to include:

  • library magnets for the public
  • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
  • guest author book signings
  • Between the Covers book club
  • the Summer Reading Program
  • book bags
  • Floats in the County Fair parade
  • Annual Friend Fests
  • monthly poetry club

Money received from semi-annual book sales in April and October and from membership dues each calendar year are the primary source of funds available for Friends' projects.

The Board of the Friends of the Library meets every month for a brief business meeting.  The meetings are open to all Friends members.  If you have questions about Friends of the Manchester Public Library, please contact the library at 563-927-3719.  Your support is greatly appreciated!
